Harvin Moore believes that HISD needs continued reform, experienced board leadership, and a renewed commitment to its beliefs and visions. Although Houston’s public schools have improved significantly during the last ten years, we cannot yet be satisfied that our children are learning to read, or graduating as they should. HISD must maintain public confidence and ensure that public school education improves significantly in the months and years to come. HISD must be a credible choice for parents seeking an excellent education for their children. Houston’s schools must consistently produce graduates who are prepared for meaningful careers and successful lives. Every child in Houston deserves an excellent education.
